Harper Duquaine doesn’t have the best record. After coming up short in her last relationship, and consequently losing her job, she’s in rebuilding mode, living in her brother’s basement while trying to save up enough money for a fresh start. On a whim, Harper decides to impress her new co-workers by joining their fantasy football team. The only problem: She doesn’t know a tight end from a running back or a sleeper from a keeper. It doesn’t help that she almost immediately finds herself drawn to her two biggest competitors.

Sometimes everything works out the way it’s supposed to. And sometimes, you have to give life a nudge. That’s been Harper Duquaine’s experience. It’s how she went from last in her fantasy football league to its fiercest competitor. It’s how she won the heart of her true love. And, this year, it’s how she’s going to level up. With problems at work leaving her stressed and an increasingly distant boyfriend, Harper feels like she’s back at square one. But if she’s learned anything in the past year, it’s that you can’t give up on what you love without a fight.

It’s hard to be the new girl in town. Again. But that’s exactly where Harper finds herself as she begins her third fantasy football season. This time was supposed to be different. This time, she was supposed to be about excitement and growth. Instead, she’s stuck in a cubicle job she hates, more lonely than ever, and she has a fantasy football team that even a mother wouldn’t love. And just when she thinks it couldn’t get worse, something happens that could jeopardize everything she’s worked so hard to have.
