About this listen
Allie Sutton just got a new job.
Not one she wants, and definitely not one she's prepared for. She hadn't seen her dad in years, so the last thing she expects upon his sudden death is to inherit the thing he loved more than anything (or anyone)...the professional football team he owned for the last 20 years.
Luke Pierson does not want a new boss.
What he wants is to be a good father to his daughter, the best quarterback possible for his teammates. What he doesn't need is a blonde bombshell ruining the team's chances at another championship. Especially when that bombshell turns out to be his new neighbor. The neighbor he was a complete jerk to the first time they met.
For the sake of the team, they treat each other like complete professionals. In public, at least. Behind closed doors, it's a different story. And the fallout of giving in to that heat is something neither one of them can see coming.
Contains mature themes.

AMAZING STORYLINE!
I loved reading this book. Although I say read, it was through the audiobook that I "read" the book. Definitely not a regret to read this book and the narrators fit the characters with the perfect personality to the story that made everything flow nicely. I loved the romance in this story and while it was obvious who the romance would be about or how it would end, that's only the outline of what there is, meanwhile there is so much story to it that if I'm going to be really cheesy then I would say that this romance was like a jam donut. There is a nice outline, but always the different feelings you get when you bite into the jam and get a new burst of flavour. I would definitely recommend to those who like this genre. I loved this book!

Single dad, sports romance
The Bombshell Effect by Karla Sorensen is the first book in the Washington Wolves Series, which is a single dad sports romance.
Luke is a single dad, pro football player and avoids women as his trust in them has been shattered.
Allie the new owner of football team and model, who’s lost and alone with the passing of her father.
Luke and Allie are neighbours who don’t exactly get along. Eventually that tension and attraction crosses a line, and one they both know should be kept secret and without feelings.
But their forbidden arrangement changes after one night that they let the rules and barriers drop.
The emotion from both characters has an intensity that’s balanced with everything expressed throughout. Each have their own backstories and the author clearly expresses this.
The story is dual POV’s from both Allie and Luke.

Enjoyable
A good story, well written and narrated. Romantic, with believable strong female and male characters, told faults and all.

the hero was so stoic I thought how is Ms Soresen going to get him to lighten up....at least it was the obvious way...best mates...
not a lot of steam but lots of suspense.....tension....chemistry

Good Story
Enjoyed this light, fun, pro athlete, single dad, grump vs sunshine with a bit of spice romance story. Good performance by Troy Duran and Melissa Moran.
