• Self Harm and How I've Turned My Life Around
    Dec 17 2020

This is the most courageous conversation I've had with someone....period.

Trinity came to us as a client three months ago with suicidal thoughts, over a decade of self harming and no sense of a future.

What we've been through together has been breath-taking and an experience that's made me realise how incredible life and people can be.

From the first walk at the beach, to having her stitched up from cutting too deeply, to admitting her to hospital to now seeing her turn the corner with a whole new mindest, direction and passion for life. In no uncertain terms this is a work in progress but I have no doubt that Trinity is on an incredible path with an amazing future ahead of her.

We are still working together and will now be focussing on the next chapter of her life.

Her story and words are 'matter-of-fact', but the rawness and emotion is ever-present.

It's truly my pleasure and a gift to be working with Trinity and learning from her. For anyone in a similar situation, I hope this might resonate a little and help in the healing process.

  • Freediving, Breathwork and Mental Health...plus some Mermen!
    Nov 17 2020

This was our first evening podcast with Tania, who is just about to launch her Men's Mental Health awareness calendar, featuring a host of topless 'fellas, in and out of the ocean, wearing nothing but a mermaid tail!

We talk about Tania's inspiration and drive to promote mental health issues for men and getting people to talk more openly about the subject and to seek help when necessary.

Tania's work, through her full-time business, Blueback freediving and Yoga, has brought her into contact with many men (and women) that have found freediving to be a way of relaxing and focusing on getting through more difficult times.

We talk about breathwork, freediving and 'connecting' to nature as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing and combatting some of the issues today's hectic lifestyles have inflicted on us as a generation.

  • Georgia swims to Rottnest in the DARK!
    Oct 31 2020

Amazing discusion with an 18-year-old who's about to swim to Rottnest...in the DARK! Georgia is raising awareness for mental health following her own 'battle' with depression. She is an outstandingly inspiring individual who's going to have a big impact.

Through her own battles with a broken home and suffering depression through early years, this is a raw and open conversation about how she's battled the low times and deals with them in a poistive and challenging way.

Her goal to challenge herself as a way of keeping focused has lead her to the upcoming solo swim to Rottnest Island of the West coast of Perth (Western Australia) - 19.7km's in the dark, is remarkable and inspiring.

We talk about the difficulties facing teenagers and the prevalence of depression and suicide, broken methods of prescribed anti-depressants and a lack of holistic approaches to tackling this monumental issue facing not only teenagers but adults alike.

If you're interested in following Georgia's progress and story or would like to donate to her mental health charity 'Lifeline WA', check out her Instagram or Facebook pages (search) Georgia Ongarezos.

As always, any feedback would be welcomed :)
