However, in the reality of office life, this power is proving to be a pain in the rear end. Alice gives out massive static shocks. Alright, this might not be the most spectacular gift, but it can fuse electrical circuits, cripple low-life creeps on the underground, and foil bank robberies.

After discovering a man’s body in the Rotherhithe tunnel, Alice Carter embarks on one of the most unusual cases she will ever encounter. Politicians and civilians are dying in odd circumstances and it leaves her mentor, Max Greenstick, scratching his head. Why are they being targeted, and what links the outlandish deaths together?

Alice is a detective with a bizarre ability. She can take out criminals with her powerful static shocks. Sounds like an impressive weapon? It should be, but she’s been banned from using this power by her bullying chief inspector. Working with her partner, Max Greenstick, Alice investigates a spate of kidnappings and finds herself in a dramatic situation. With thugs closing in and an officer down, she uses her static to gain an advantage and is inevitably suspended from duty. Alice’s only option is to continue investigating undercover.
