In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one.
He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything.
Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game.
Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities.
With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job.
His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.
Surprisingly, not a whole lot changed. Politicians were still corrupt. Banks still held onto your money. And criminals still committed crime.
Though the black market has become more readily available.
And in that not-so-black market, Felix discovers he has a way to make his power useful after all, and grasps a hold of his chance with both hands.

fantastic take on comic book heros
great narrator, fantastic story just a bit lacking in some details but enough to keep the story going and explained. Going to start the next right now!

suprisingly good
This book reminds me of a game. the narrator is kind of annoying at the start. but realised after a while it's to emphasize how nerdy he is. after a while it slowly stop, or you get use to it. it's a unique story that I havent been exposed to. I'm looking forward to the next book

Was well written and keep a nice and engaging pace while developing a nice diverse selection of characters would recommend for an fun listen 😁

Original masterpiece
Most interesting and original book I’ve come across in a long time. Very enjoyable. Well written. And excellent performance. Highly recommend this book.

loved this story
great story with a well thought out plot, easy to follow with only a few minor things. it could have done the reading of the points tally with less detail I found this boring and monotonous but despite this I couldn't stop listening it left me hoping for a sequel please write more.

New favourite book hope there is more
Loved it new story that does not get used often the power broker side of the story is amazing and a power I wish I had ... totally has the best power ever looking forward to book 2

Hero or Villain It’s all about your point of view
Loved the MC and how his character is completely understandable when you learn more and more of his backstory. Likewise I loved the action and economy side of the book. At first I found the narrator voice annoying but in the end it actually suits the character the more you get to know then.

Great.
Never liked super hero stories, this is the exception. The author did a great job at tackling the genre from a very unique and different point of view. If you're on the fence, I recommend you buy it.
Especially considering that it's narrated by Jeff Hays, I literally only bought it because of that and I'm loving every minute of it.

Dark and Quirky
The story is quirky and fun. The characters seem to enjoy existing in a sort of moral limbo and everyone has an agenda. Looking forward to listening to the next one.
