Renowned academic Dr Sparling seeks help with his project on a remote Irish village. Historical researchers Ben and Chloe are thrilled to be chosen—until they arrive. The village is isolated and forgotten. There is no record of its history, its stories. There is no friendliness from the locals, only wary looks and whispers. After her terrifying experience at the hands of the Watchers, Mina has escaped to a cottage on the west coast of Ireland. She obsessively researches her former captors, desperate to find any way to prolong the safety of humankind. When Mina encounters a stranger near her home, she fears the worst – for she knows the figure is not what it seems. Soon, people she has encountered start to disappear.

This forest isn't charted on any map. Every car breaks down at its treeline. Mina's is no different. Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging Mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams. Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the watchers come above ground. These creatures emerge to observe their captive humans and terrible things happen to anyone who doesn't reach the bunker in time.

Mina hat sich verfahren und dann bleibt auch noch ihr Auto stehen. Weil sie keine andere Wahl hat, wagt sie sich ins Dunkel des nahegelegenen Waldes. Plötzlich hört sie eine Frau rufen. Sie winkt Mina zu sich, ins Innere eines seltsamen Gebäudes. Als die Tür hinter ihr zuschlägt, findet sich Mina mit drei Fremden in einem Raum mit einer Glaswand wieder … Bei Einbruch der Nacht schaltet sich das Licht ein und draußen tauchen die Watchers auf.

The Dragonfly sees all as it follows the lives of three best friends living in Los Angeles. Even though their lives are glamorous at times, each woman is on an individual journey to find self love, professional success and, most of all, to evolve Spiritually. However, they realize that life can be more challenging than they expected.
