  • A Lesson From B2B Academy: Buyer Beware. Marketing Personalities That Aren’t Always What They Seem
    Jun 29 2022

Thanks for tuning in for another episode! As I am with all episodes, I'm really looking forward to this conversation because I'm sharing an audio lesson from inside Biz to Brand Academy.

This lesson, "Buyer Beware", is a look at some of the prominent marketing personalities we've seen emerge in the online business space over the last few years. And looking at both the persona evolution and potential for harmful impact as a result.

    1 The Online Celebrity
    2 The Role Model
    3 The Bro Boss
    4 The Prosperity Coach

I'm sharing this for two reasons--

First, I honor an entrepreneur's choice when making business decisions. These personalities are super persuasive (that's how they make their $$). Before investing for your own business you can learn more about the roots of each style  and what to watch out for as you navigate your own educational investments.

Second, in my own experience I made a lot of mistakes by looking at these types of marketing models. Whether I knew it was harmful or not, the impact remains, and I want to pass the information I wish I had then, but didn't, on to you so you are able to avoid some of these missteps.

Here we go... taking a look at 4 marketing personalities (the online celebrity, the role model, the bro boss, and the prosperity coach) that are trending in the online space and what to be mindful of as you look to their self-proclaimed expertise for help.

  • Try This to Increase Client Conversion Consistency
    Jun 8 2022

Here's a short punch list of things we know clients value... simplicity, accessibility, empathy, choice, & convenience. What I'm sharing in this episode encompasses all of these and based on the number of times I've watched clients successfully implement this, I'm guessing it's easier than other items on that laundry list of things you have to do.

This piece of business information has come up several times recently, so it made sense that I plan an entire episode to talk about it in case you'd like to try it yourself.

This is not a big framework, complicated system, and once I go over it you're probably going to start noticing the companies who do it, and the ones who don't.

Have I piqued your interest? (I'm hoping I have!)

I'm not only going to share what this one thing is, but also how you can implement for your own business (no matter your industry). I'm also going share an example of the impact this makes and the unintentional consequences when businesses don't offer this to their clients.

    What this episode covers:

    • What is a Customer Success Path
    • Why is having one beneficial? (I get into how our brains work on this -- which I love talking about!)
    • What impact does it offer?
    • The consequences without it (with an example from my own recent experience)
    • The 5 Elements to support a successful CSP
    • How to create your own CSP (in only 3 steps)
