A Lesson From B2B Academy: Buyer Beware. Marketing Personalities That Aren’t Always What They Seem

  • Summary

  • Thanks for tuning in for another episode! As I am with all episodes, I'm really looking forward to this conversation because I'm sharing an audio lesson from inside Biz to Brand Academy.

This lesson, "Buyer Beware", is a look at some of the prominent marketing personalities we've seen emerge in the online business space over the last few years. And looking at both the persona evolution and potential for harmful impact as a result.

    1 The Online Celebrity
    2 The Role Model
    3 The Bro Boss
    4 The Prosperity Coach

I'm sharing this for two reasons--

First, I honor an entrepreneur's choice when making business decisions. These personalities are super persuasive (that's how they make their $$). Before investing for your own business you can learn more about the roots of each style  and what to watch out for as you navigate your own educational investments.

Second, in my own experience I made a lot of mistakes by looking at these types of marketing models. Whether I knew it was harmful or not, the impact remains, and I want to pass the information I wish I had then, but didn't, on to you so you are able to avoid some of these missteps.

Here we go... taking a look at 4 marketing personalities (the online celebrity, the role model, the bro boss, and the prosperity coach) that are trending in the online space and what to be mindful of as you look to their self-proclaimed expertise for help.
