  • Why I deleted 76% of my email list
    Apr 24 2024

I’ve been building my email list since I started my business back in 2018.

I will admit, I’ve never taken it all that seriously but as I enter this next phase of my business… I decided to take the bold step of actively removing 76% of the audience that I’d been building over the years.

    Why? Two words…

    Creative. Safety.

Listen to the episode to hear why I think you should clean up your email list too & how I practically went about doing it.

  • Running A Business In Times Of Crisis
    Dec 11 2023

When the world goes to sh*t on a bigger scale than usual–running a business can present an apparent minefield of how to “appropriately” respond whilst also continuing to protect our boundaries, show up and sell.

The lines between where our “niched” business ends and where we as complex human beings begin are blurry at the best of times, but in times of crisis this often creates a problem that brands like Amazon (a.k.a the obvious profit machines) don’t have.

This is especially true for businesses run by spiritually & ethically minded humans. We have to decide whether we *really* mean it when we declare values of integrity, equality & the like. When we say we want to make the world a better place, situations like the one unfolding in Gaza right now force us to clarify whether we mean just for ourselves or for others too.

This episode isn’t here to cast judgement on anyone, nor to give you explicit answers about what you should be doing when a world crisis occurs.

It is however here to help those of you who are witnessing a crisis unfold in front of your eyes and feeling frozen about what you should/can do.

My intention here is to help you gently begin to break out of that freeze/flight fear response, to offer some questions to consider and thoughts to mull over that might enable to you start taking aligned action, whatever that looks like for you.

    Specific topics discussed:

    * How we can show up in times of crisis

    * The one question to ask to find out exactly what you can do in times of crisis

    * Navigating the worry that by taking action/creating resources, it looks like you’re using a world crisis as an opportunity for self-promotion

    * Personal responsibility vs. collective action

    *****

I’m adding my own personal note here that this episode somehow feels “not enough”. I’m worried that it’s maybe tone deaf or lacking the urgency I feel in my heart. I worry I should have made it specific to Gaza & spent my time and energy calling for a ceasefire instead of taking this generalised approach for some imagined future. But I’m still posting it because honestly, not doing so would feel like a betrayal of myself & my values.

  • How To Create An Offer That Sells
    Oct 5 2023

In the highly competitive world of online business, it’s an uncomfortable truth that getting to work with incredible clients isn’t just about being great at what you do, it’s about firstly being able to *explain* it to people in a way that gets them excited.

This is exactly why with this episode here, I’m launching a mini-series centred entirely around “The Art of Offer Creation” for solo business owners because I am done seeing so many incredible coaches, consultants, service providers and course creators struggle.

In this first episode, I’m breaking down the framework I use with all my 1:1 Offer Studio clients, with future episodes dedicated to each of the elements mentioned.

If creating an offer feels like throwing spaghetti at the wall, this episode and mini-series is for you 💕
