• S2 Ep. 2 Please welcome KJ Whigham to the show!
    Mar 4 2025

    Wow! What an episode!

I welcomed KJ Whigham onto the show and was blown away when he told me he's done 40-50 triathlons! I was not expecting that!

But I love everything about our talk. Before we even started, KJ said I could ask him anything and he answered everything. You can't help but feel his authenticity when talks about his family, his journey, and Fast Track Racing Team.

And the fact that he and I agreed on this week's hot takes; icing on the cake!

  • S2 Ep. 1 Please welcome Rupesh, Alli, and Larry to the show!
    Feb 27 2025

We are opening up Season Two in a big way! Rupesh, the regular runner, invited his friends Alli and Larry from Bravo boot camp for a chat!

Restarting is harder than starting; yes, Larry, you are right. Lots of other pearls of wisdom were dropped in this episode along with the premiere of the hot takes wheel!

Thank you for your support of the flying pig project and for listening to the podcast. If you like what you hear, be sure to check out Season One!

Only one more week to wait for the Season Two launch of Start Lines and Swag Bags!

While I told myself I should record a little teaser to test my lighting/audio, I did spill the beans about what happened to all my race swag..........

    Thank you for listening!

  • Ep. 33 We are on a break!
    Feb 2 2025

Wow; it is still unbelievable that we made it to 33 episodes this season.

For the next few weeks, we will be on a break but then the show will be back with even more stories, some hot topics, and real discussion around how we define ourselves as runners.

Thank you to Nicole, Mark, Ashlie, John, Lauren, Chris, Marty, Liz, Ben, Tom, Jen, Sebastian, Dan Andy, Felix, Terrence, Ksenia, Chelsea, Jonathan, Joel, Sabrina, Rupesh, Vianna, and Colleen for joining me on this ride. I take something from each and every one of your episodes.

For know, embrace the crazy to unlock a world of possibilities. Thank you all for your listening and your support. See you for Season 2!

  • Ep. 32 Please welcome Colleen to the show!
    Jan 28 2025

We did get the picture at the Patrick Devitt 2024 Turkey Trot!

Yes, that will make lots more sense after you listen to the episode. It's no wonder our friendship has formed; Colleen had me laughing and laughing. So much so, I had to have Marty edit out at least 20% of the recording!

But this episode is such a great follow up to Rupesh the Regular Runner. We are all regular people; with insecurities who make unnecessary comparisons to others instead of embracing ourselves. Look forward to more conversations about that and feel free to reach out if you want to be part of that conversation.

  • Ep. 31 Please welcome Vianna to the show!
    Jan 21 2025

It seems only fitting the person who helped support me at what I described as my worst race of my life last year at F3 should be released 5 days prior to this year's F3!

Vianna is the definition of community, gratitude, and support and there is something for everyone to take away from this episode. Thank you Vianna for your patience in needing to rerecord and for being the example you are for so many. You are a Wonder Woman!

  • Not a real episode......
    Jan 20 2025

Yeesh, that's some awful sound quality. It's what happens when you can find your microphone because you're moving soon.

Just a quick hop on to say; if you're having trouble embracing where you are in your running journey, you most certainly are not alone.

  • Ep 30: Please welcome Rupesh; the regular runner
    Jan 14 2025

It is not often that I become speechless during a recording but I'll be damn if that didn't happen several times with Rupesh!

He was the perfect example of someone who believed they had nothing to share but left me with so many new ways to look at things.

As I learned from him, if you are listening on Apple you unfortunately are not seeing the video portion of the pod. I would absolutely recommend you hop over to Spotify if for no other reason than my constant need to remind Rupesh to describe what he was holding up.

Thank you so much for listening and supporting the flying pig project.
