  • Summary

  • Sound baths are full-body listening experiences that calm the mind and body with resonant instruments like tuning forks and crystal bowls.

In order to get the most out of your listening experience, pioneering sound therapist Sara Auster recommends you dim the lights and lie down or sit in a comfortable position with an eye mask and a blanket, silence any alerts or notifications, and use earphones. These things allow you to completely unplug and connect with the present moment to intentionally prepare for sleep. Your body has permission to slow down and rest, to receive without the need to respond or react. Begin your experience by focusing on your breath, then allow yourself to drift into a spacious and dreamlike state. All you have to do is arrive with an open mind and listen.

This is an Audible Original Podcast. Free for members. When you add Sound Baths from Audible Sleep to your library, you'll receive all previous episodes and will continue to receive new ones as they're released.

I use a sound bath daily by Sara A and with regular use it is life changing. I would recommend it to everyone.

Easy to listen. Pleasant.

I like the spoken instructions. Nice voice.
Headphones are best.
This is the first in the series I have listened to. I feel like doing more.

Awful

The music component was far too loud- couldn't really hear the voice component. This track was basically one droning note played for 18mins and was the furthest thing from relaxing! Urgh, within seconds my thought was "this is bloody awful".

Terrible buzzing

This would be great if it weren't for the very distracting low buzzing sound in the foreground. I tried to push through thinking it would disappear but gave up with 8mins to go. This comment is the Relaxation Breath. The Letting go was equally as bad. Some of the other sound bath tunes aren't as bad. Pity as the verbal instructions were lovely and clear on the Relaxation Breath. If you listen to them all you will see some are better than others, with buzzing and drowning out of voice instructions a big distraction. Not as relaxing as I hoped.
