  • Episode 16: Quarantine isn't so bad ... is it? Girlfriend gab with Patty Barba
    Jan 14 2021
In this episode, J.Flo has some girlfriend gab time with Patty Barba as they talk about how quarantine isn’t all that bad, some of the good to come out of it, along with fashion, life, and their favorite binge watches. Guest, Patty, has gone from a teen and single mom, raising a special needs son, to a doting wife, entrepreneur, influencer, all-round amazing woman and is now trying to reinvent herself. The gals commiserate over trying to define and reinvent themselves, even thinking about starting their own Reinvention Crisis Center … but not really. Patty shares sound advice, not just for this chaotic time in life: If you don’t adapt, you sink; and fashion advice: If you can find it everywhere it is on its way out. Patty gives Jflo some makeup advice after she thought her makeup game was on point … until they got on video chat. The Lazy Ster topic selector game takes a fun twist when Patty turns the table on JFlo with the curiously intriguing question of, “Would you rather relive last year or a year of teenage years?” JFlo promptly wrote it down to add to her repertoire. Another special guest appears, not once but twice! Little Flo, JFLo's daughter comes in to ask permission to play outside and for JFlo to come watch her friends do a show. And finally, JFlo asked her famous last line, “Just so you know …” as Patty did not disappoint with her response. • Episode 011 Day Drinking & Internet Friends
    Nov 5 2020
In a lighthearted episode 11, two of JFlo's internet friends, Jennie & Ryan Custodio, were passing through Las Vegas from California on a family RV trip. So, of course, they had to record a podcast. Except ... it started after they were day drinking, so we apologize in advance for the excessive talking over each other and things making absolutely zero sense. Before Ryan joins in, the girls, also known as J2, discuss how wedding planning online brought them together over 10 years ago and when they met IRL, or real people as their daughter would say. They prank call Spousey and share why their husbands aren't their emergency contacts -- they can't be the only ones? The discussion of how they ended up in an RV with their three kids for five days reminds JFlo why she is one-and-done with having kids. Jennie shares all about her 2020 and why her theme is “Shift & Pivot.” Say it with us: PIVOTTTT. When they finally (& thankfully!) start to wrap up, you will learn who the who the candle hoarder is in their house -- it may surprise you — and finish with the Lazy Step Topic Selector. Enjoy! We can probably use a little laugh or two on the week of an election.
