Tuesday's Special 001: National Adoption Month

  • Summary

  • In a new semi-weekly series, host J.Flo tackles real-life topics with those who have been through it, experienced it and lived to tell about it. November is National Adoption month, a month set aside to raise awareness about the urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth in foster care. In honor of the month, J.Flo talks with her friend Laura about her family's experience adopting a pre-teen from the foster care system in Texas. After taking a lengthy trip down memory lane -- both gals lived in Las Vegas together and recount some memories of "back in the day" -- Laura shares her reasons for looking into the foster system, what it was like to go through the process and where they are today.
