    Nov 5 2024

    Send us a text

Hey there, Mama! 🧡 Have you ever caught yourself giving your child (or hubby!) a whirlwind of instructions, only to feel frustrated when they can't keep up? If this sounds familiar, this episode is just for you.

So we're going there- how we sometimes expect others to operate at our pace, forgetting they might need a little more space and time to process. Oopsie!

We’ll dive into what happens when we unintentionally download our own mental lists on to others, leaving them feeling pressured, inadequate or just plain ready to ignore us when they don’t keep up with our pace.

    Here’s what we're hitting up:

Understanding Communication Patterns: How our "commands" can sometimes feel overwhelming—and why it's so important to be mindful of how we phrase our needs.

Planning Ahead to Avoid Last-Minute Chaos: Tips on getting a daily overview to make space for others to help, rather than scrambling at the last minute.

Navigating Different Paces in Marriage: It’s not just with kids! When our partner isn’t on the same page, it can create frustration. But what if it’s just a timing difference? Discover how to set each other up for success by asking the right questions instead of assuming the worst.

This episode is about becoming aware of our timing and expectations—and adjusting so everyone around us feels empowered, not overwhelmed. Let's get into this conversation that might just change the way you interact with the people you love.

    Ready? Let’s go! 🌸

  • How to Change Your Life & Reinvent Yourself!
    Oct 22 2024

    Send us a text

Just the thought of trying to change your life or figure out who you want to reinvent yourself to be can be enough to shut you down. Where do you even start?

Ready to feel unstuck and get moving? I'm going to go over a simple roadmap to help you get that reset going.

Here is the breakdown of what I'm covering in this episode:

    Start with Clarity
Identify the ideal version of yourself in these areas: physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual. For each, determine your deal breakers, flexible areas, and must-haves.

    Self-Assessment
Rate yourself from 1-10 in each area. Celebrate high scores and focus on areas where you score low—this is where your growth starts.

    Focus on Change
Pick a low-scoring area, and reflect on why it’s important. Visualize what your ideal self would do and take one small daily action to build momentum.

    Revisit and Adjust
Regularly check in with your list, adjusting when needed. Journal your progress to stay motivated and track your growth.

In the end, small, consistent actions lead to lasting change. Trust the process, and keep moving forward!

But how do you make those habits last? I’ll share the strategies that worked for me—including how I use willpower and avoid decision fatigue—to stay on track. If you’ve ever struggled to keep those new habits, this episode will give you practical tips to keep moving forward without burning out.

    Check it out:

The HALT Method: How to check in with yourself before making decisions. Learn how being Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired can derail your willpower and what to do about it.

Setting Yourself Up for Success: Discover the SMART method (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timetable) for creating new habits that stick.

We’ll also talk about how to make the process as simple as possible to get started.

Habit Implementation Tips: How to break down your day and use habit stacking and temptation bundling to incorporate new habits into your routine.

Plus, the importance of accountability and how having a support system can help you stay consistent.

What to Do Before You Think You’ve Failed: Habits take time to form. I get into willpower, decision fatigue, and why small adjustments can make all the difference.

If you’re feeling stuck, this episode will help you get your habit mojo back and keep going!

    Key Takeaways:

Check Your State with HALT: Don’t make major decisions when you're emotionally or physically drained.

In today’s episode, I’m celebrating a personal victory that took 10 months of steady progress—losing 20 pounds! Now, you might be thinking, "20 pounds in 10 months? What’s so great about that?"

Well, this isn’t just about the weight loss. It’s about something even bigger that I lost along the way—the feeling that food was controlling my life. And that change? It’s been a game-changer.

Join me as I break down the statistics about weight struggles in the U.S. and share how each 5-pound milestone has been like a stepping stone toward reaching a healthier, more sustainable set point for my body.

I’ll take you through the ups and downs—from battling compulsive overeating to dealing with the frustration of yo-yo dieting. There were moments when I nearly gave up because it seemed like lasting change was impossible.

    Spoiler: It wasn’t.

This journey doesn’t involve quick fixes or magic solutions. Instead, it’s about finding freedom from the guilt that comes with food choices, even when those choices are healthy.

I’ll share how I went from trying carnivore to a macro-based diet, and how being flexible and responsive to my body’s needs helped me find a way to make this weight loss stick.

The best part? I’m finally free from feeling like food has the upper hand, and I want to help you experience that same freedom.

Tune in for a raw and real discussion on how embracing the long road led to something so much more than a number on the scale.
