Ep. 24: Sophia Truly Stepped Into Her Leadership When She Connected With and Owned Parts Of Herself She Was Hiding

  • Summary

  • My guest Sophia realized she couldn't truly lean into her leadership at work until she connected with and owned parts of herself she was hiding. Sophia also shares how being more of her audacious self helped her develop resilience. I can't wait for you to meet Sophia!

Sophia Lovasz is a seasoned retail leader with over 30 years of experience in collegiate retail and strategic relationship building, leading brick and mortar operations and ecommerce on college campuses. Throughout her career, she developed a keen understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with serving diverse student, faculty and staff populations. During that time, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Studies, with an HR certificate, at Barry University, and received her Masters of Business Administration degree at Northeastern University.

Sophia is passionate about leveling the playing field for small business owners by providing and creating educational resources while advocating for inclusivity and equity. Sophia grew up working for her Haitian immigrant parents in their retail business and saw first hand the impact that is made when you build with the community in mind. It is that experience that drives her passion for continuous learning, storytelling, and enabling others. Sophia is also the Founder and CEO of Simply Visibility, where she helps students, employees, and entrepreneurs use social media to attract opportunities so they don’t have to chase them. She believes that finding your voice is the key to unlocking your value and building credibility in your community and industry. Additionally she is proud to serve as a digital content strategist at Local First Arizona, a venture mentor at the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship & Innovation Institute at Arizona State University, and as a mentor in the We Rise Black Business Accelerator program for Local First Arizona.

When she isn’t edu-taining audiences on LinkedIn, TikTok, or Instagram as a content creator, she is either taking rides in Waymo’s fully autonomous taxi, spending time with her family, gardening, reading, or working on puzzles.
