  • Tech News: Wix Announces Integration with Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment
    Apr 7 2022

Wix, a popular website builder, has upgraded its SaaS platform to include Amazon's Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), which allows ecommerce retailers to ship goods in one to two days.

The revamped infrastructure will now allow Wix ecommerce merchants in the United States to download the Amazon MCF app to their Wix store, potentially lowering fulfillment expenses.

Wix businesses will be able to see Amazon's shipping options and real-time delivery dates in real time.

    Multi-Channel Fulfillment on Wix

According to Wix, the integration was created to make it easier for ecommerce website owners to fulfill orders on their own.

By tapping into Amazon’s massive fulfillment network, merchants will also have the flexibility to customize shipping prices for customers, with the ability to offer flat rates or free shipping rather than the Amazon rate. In addition, they will be able to share shipment confirmation and tracking details for any carrier with customers, providing visibility over the entire delivery journey.

"We're always improving our platform to meet the changing needs of business owners and to assist them in increasing their Gross Payment Volume (GPV)," stated Arik Perez, Wix ecommerce's Head.

This new integration complements Wix's existing Amazon support, which allows merchants to supplement their sales strategy by connecting their Wix eCommerce store to sell on Amazon. Wix eCommerce retailers in the United States can use Amazon MCF and Amazon Shop.

Wix, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, provides web development, design, solutions, and apps through an online platform that helps businesses, organizations, professionals, and people establish a strong online presence. Client growth has been aided by its user-friendly applications and cloud-based infrastructure.

"Today, organizations must have a smooth shipping and delivery process in order to succeed. Wix retailers can be confident that top-of-the-line packaging, handling, and speedy delivery is at their fingertips when they join with Amazon MCF, which improves their business's potential growth."

Fulfilling orders 24/7 with fast shipping, using Amazon MCF's fulfillment network of over 200 fulfillment centers, and automatic inventory placement are just a few of the other significant benefits for Wix ecommerce retailers who use the Amazon MCF app.

Gopal Pillai, Vice President of Amazon Fulfillment and Distribution Solutions, said, "We're constantly listening to merchants and working backwards from their needs to develop solutions that help them delight more customers."

"The new Multi-Channel Fulfillment app easily integrates with Wix stores to help merchants improve their customer experience by providing accurate delivery dates at checkout, automatic tracking emails, and on-time, low-cost delivery."

"With Multi-Channel Fulfillment, we make fulfillment so simple and seamless for merchants that they can spend more time focusing on their business's growth and success."

Wix merchants will pay for fulfillment and storage, but not for commitment or app installation, thanks to the connection with Amazon's MCF network, which is already available.
