About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
A follow-up from the best-selling Self-Compassion, this book shows why it is more urgent than ever that women acknowledge their areas of suffering, celebrate their inner voice and challenge the male-orientated status quo.
The book will draw on Kristin Neff's own life story, as well as the stories of other women, to show how listeners can harness self-compassion and gain the strength, clarity and courage needed to be resilient and stand up for themselves in our male-dominated society.
She'll explore core issues such as gender differences, why women aren't more compassionate to themselves and what women do for love. With expert research, concrete tools and easy-to-follow mindfulness practices, this book will empower women to let go of self-criticism, draw boundaries and become fierce.

So so good!
I loved this audio. It’s refreshing to be able to celebrate our Yang, when the world so often judge us women for it. I was sad to come to the end of this book.

It’s worth it
I really liked part 2&3 of this book. Getting through part 1 was a struggle but I felt the gold was in the second two thirds of this book. Self-compassion is a skill we should all embrace.

If you like Brene, you’ll love Kristin. Her practices
This book is by far the best I have read in regards to understanding our true nature and how we can live and relate wholeheartedly in our world as Fierce self compassionate women cis and all. Balancing our inner Yin and Yang with practices and strategies.
Kristin uses her own story a bit to connect and her clients as examples but The complete focus is on you. She is a professor in psychology not in social work like Brene, making an excellent read to compliment therapy or just on its own. You take with you self compassion practices with you- not just guide posts.
