Topher is CEO and cofounder of Watershed Therapeutics in addition to a practicing trauma and acute care surgeon. He started his first company, Medalus, during his surgical training at Saint Louis University. He completed the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship in 2017-18 and adapted the biodesign program for corporate use by standardizing the tools, processes, filters, scoping, and market value analysis. He worked on-site with internal corporate teams, ensuring the adoption of start-up culture and management buy-in for resources. These teams continue to thrive internally without the need for external support. Topher joined Life Science Angels to support due diligence and screening for start-ups. He is now taking what he learned from the clinic, the deal room, and the classroom into his own start-up from napkin to first in human.
