Ron Weber was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He earned degrees in philosophy and psychology. While following careers in the fields of education, clinical psychology, and body/mind wellness he began writing this intimate guide for journeying through earthly life. Currently he lives in North Carolina with his wife, Anne. Ron wrote Finding the Way of Peace over a thirty-year period. In 2020 he determined his manuscript ready for final editing and he began researching potential publishers. But on December 6th his search came to an abrupt end when he suffered a severe stroke. His injuries required months of rehabilitation in both a facility and at home. The stroke damaged a part of the brain that affects speech. Suddenly, this deeply philosophical, eloquent man became unable to say the words that filled his thoughts. So, he became less verbal than he had been before the stroke. During this time his wife, Anne, encouraged him to continue pursuing his dream of publishing his book, which he considered his legacy to the world, but because of his speech deficit, he could not imagine approaching a publisher and would not even consider it. As months passed, Ron witnessed the increasing toll being taken by COVID and political turmoil on the quality of people’s lives. A sense of urgency to help people find peace amid the chaos reignited his desire to publish. In March of 2022, he agreed to work on the manuscript with a close friend who is a writer and narrator/producer of audiobooks for other authors. Though the stroke had affected his speech, his reasoning and ability to read remained strong. Ron approached the final editing process with enthusiasm, and he became more and more invigorated with every session as he recalled the many people and situations that inspired his work. Eventually, his speech improved, enabling him to narrate an audiobook version of Finding the Way of Peace. During the final editing stage of the book, Anne dedicated her efforts to researching options for publishing and settled on Amazon’s self-publishing arm, KDP. By mid-August 2022, the Kindle and paperback versions were published. The audiobook became available on iTunes, Amazon, and audible in late December. After devoting his life to helping individuals discover the power of peace that resides within themselves, his dream of sharing this message with the world was realized a few days before his 87th birthday.
