Ron Tyson is a native Floridian, born in Okeechobee, Florida and is currently a resident of Florida. He attended Okeechobee High School, is an Eagle Scout and served for four years in the US Air Force as a Medical Administration Specialist, stationed in Adana, Turkey and MacDill Air Force Base. He received both a Meritorious Service Medal and Wing and Base Airman of the Quarter. He graduated with a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. Ron worked for 27 years in the Prescription Benefit Management industry, having held positions at both Medco and Express Scripts and is currently an Account Executive at Surescripts, a Health Network company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Arlington, Virginia. In 2016 Ron founded Bring Smiles to Seniors (bringsmilestoseniors.com), a Florida based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Ron is a 2018 recipient of the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation Community Hero award as well as a 2018 top fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Event.
