Richard Bass is a well-established author with extensive knowledge and background on children’s disabilities. Richard has also experienced first-hand many children and teens who deal with depression and anxiety. He enjoys researching techniques and ideas to better serve students, as well as providing guidance to parents on how to understand and lead their children to success. Richard wants to share his experience, research, and practices through his writing, as it has proven successful to many parents and students. Richard feels there is a need for parents and others around the child to fully understand the disability, or the mental health of the child. He hopes that with his writing people will be more understanding of children going through these issues. Richard Bass has been in education for over a decade and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education as well as several certifications including Special Education K-12, and Educational Administration. Whenever Richard is not working, reading, or writing he likes to travel with his family to learn about different cultures as well as get ideas from all around about the upbringing of children especially those with disabilities. Richard also researches and learns about different educational systems around the world. Richard participates in several online groups where parents, educators, doctors, and psychologist share their success with children with disabilities. Richard is in the process of growing a facebook group where further discussion about his books and techniques could take place. Apart from online groups, he has also attended trainings regarding the upbringing of students with disabilities and has also lead trainings in this area.
