Hi there! I'm Paul. I live in Connecticut with my wife Marina. I believe the world is complex and can be understood and my books are meant to help with that. The Uncomfortable Truth About Money is about how money works mechanically and emotionally. Raising a Thief is a book about being a parent. Master, Minion is an award-winning thriller about financial warfare. I am the founder and CIO of Kate Capital, an investment management firm. Previous to founding Kate, I worked for many years at Bridgewater Associates. I also worked as a reporter. You may have seen my writing in The Wall Street Journal, The South China Morning Post or Bloomberg. I have a Substack called A Letter from Paul. I was educated at Brown University, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University and at The Maurice Thorez School of Foreign Languages in Moscow. I am also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
