My name is Michelle J. E. Temple. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation. I’ve been in the accounting profession since 1997. The Thoughts I see is my first manuscript of creative writing that I have written. It is a true story and it is during one of the biggest crisis points in my life. I wanted to dig into my depths of creativity to explain how it felt during the darkest depths of my mental illness. I have been told that The Thoughts I See is both sad and beautiful at the same time and is a hopeful story of bravery and courage that others can be inspired by. Other women have commented that they never have felt more seen after reading it. They have said they sympathize with me, cry with me and get angry with me. I’ve also been told it is compelling, raw, honest, inspiring, and a book they could not put down. I hope to bring awareness to women’s issues and mental health and provide courage to others to come forward with their stories instead of hating themselves and holding a deep dark secret for 28 years like I did. I am also a farm wife on a cattle ranch, I have been with my husband for 31 years and we have 3 beautiful children.
