Jane Petrov is one of nine siblings. She was born in Maryland and performed on stage and studied music throughout her childhood. In their youth, Jane and her sister and co-author Anne would create circuses for the family cats to perform tricks in and perform music and plays for family holidays and get-togethers, including short condensed Oscar Wilde comedies. Jane completed her B.A. in International Communications at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she performed several leading roles on the main stage. After graduating, Jane studied at The Shakespeare and Studio Theaters before heading to New York City where she studied at Michael Howard Studios, HB Studio and The Barrow Group. She loved working with new playwrights and theater artists and became the artistic director of P.A.C.T. (Playwrights/Actors Contemporary Theatre). In 2006, she co-founded SkyTown Entertainment, a full-service bi-coastal video production company that specializes in self-tape auditions for actors. Over the years, SkyTown has created and produced award-winning short films, an original comedy series, web commercials, corporate training videos, music videos and albums. Her acting path led her to getting an agent in Los Angeles. So she jumped in her Jeep with her guitar and drove cross country to settle in Hollywood and pursue television and film roles, and start up the SkyTown LA office. Jane appears in a new television series- Kold & Windy (AMC/WeTV) September 2022. She recently won an award for theatre and inducted into the Albert Einstein High School Arts Hall of Fame, where she attended high school. Both Anne and Jane are currently proud members of Storytellers Workshop LA. Jane’s hobbies include cooking Sunday dinner for friends and family, writing/playing music, hiking, beaching and camping. She most enjoys leisurely walks in her East Hollywood neighborhood with her boyfriend, Andie, and his dog, Zorro.
