Christine Woodside grew up in a large family in Princeton, New Jersey and has spent the past several decades in southeastern Connecticut. Her biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Rose Wilder Lane, LIBERTARIANS ON THE PRAIRIE, has been praised as "a fascinating expose" by Jane Mayer, "thoroughly researched" by the Post Star, "the classic history of the classic series" by Mark Kramer, "iconoclastic" by Book Page, and "a beautiful piece of writing" by foremost Ingalls-Wilder researcher William Anderson.
