A man from the desert follows the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in hopes of being martyred for Allah’s sake. After receiving a share of the spoils from a battle, he tells the Prophet that his true wish is to die in battle and enter Jannah. The Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) assures him that if he is truthful, Allah will fulfil his wish. Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) was a brave and steadfast companion who was captured. While imprisoned, he displayed remarkable character, showing kindness even in the face of danger.
