My disruption was a failed marriage. This book is about how God helped me through that time. He also had family, loved ones, and prayer partners positioned to help me along the way. I have discovered that God doesn't waste any of my pain, even my self-inflicted pain.

My journey in writing this audiobook started when my youngest son, Joshua, was deployed to Iraq. The experiences he shared appeared to show interesting parallels between what was happening with him in Iraq and what I was experiencing myself as a pastor. Joshua’s Operation Iraqi Freedom letters were so detailed, they helped me to compose an analogy of natural war and spiritual war. Near completion, my computer crashed, and my entire manuscript was lost. Disheartened, I put the box up and forgot about it. Seventeen years later, I rediscovered Joshua’s letters!
