La bataille de Fort William Henry oppose, en août 1757 les troupes du général français Montcalm (et de ses alliés indiens) à celles du britannique Munro. Un officier anglais est chargé de conduire 2 jeunes filles, Alice et Cora chez leur père, le général Monro, dans son fort assiégé.
