From the sleepy townland of Glenties in County Donegal, to the valley city of Danville, Pennsylvania, retired Garda Inspector Callum Earley is off on what he thought would be a reunion with his family in the States. Things don’t go as planned when he is drawn into the hunt for a serial killer with one of the oldest motives—REVENGE. The tension mounts as the body count rises.

Private Investigator Richard "Bigg Dick" Bigg, while taking a break from a dead-end Las Vegas suicide case of a lover and ex-Vegas girl, attends a private Nine-Ball tournament on the Mogollon Rim in northern Arizona. A fellow competitor is shot and plunges a thousand feet over the rim to his death, and longtime friend JC Forkner is charged with the murder. Dick must prove JC's innocence and runs into another dead-end case.

Along with drugs and guns, Juan Hernandez smuggles hundreds of illegal immigrants into the US with delusions of taking back the southwest for Mexico, and of course for himself. Juan hires Private Investigator/Bounty Hunter (and novice pool player) Richard “Big Dick” Bigg to find and bring back (dead or alive) his second kidnapped wife. Juan’s first wife was kidnapped four years earlier and died in a house that exploded as the FBI closed in.

The last thing Rictor Hughes expected when he chose to give his life in Kansas to save others was to wake up. Even more surprising was to find himself on the other side of the exploding gateway in a facility under the care of an Artificial Intelligence with psychological issues. The world outside is inhabited by millions of the Kresh and millions of humans under their control.
