I'm a simple girl. I live alone and drive for a ride share service. A dull passenger and uneventful drive is all I hope for, but not all passengers are dull and predictable. Some bring nothing but drama.... When I picked up one particular passenger, I had no idea she was underage. Worse, she was drunk. Still, I thought I could help her by taking her home safely. Everything seemed like it would work out, and I could feel like I did a good deed. Until, that is, my face met her big sister's fist and I dropped like a rock.

I have been in a constant state of melancholy for over three months now. The depression came after starting my new job. Nothing seemed to be going my way at work. I looked forward to curling up in bed at home, but what I got was a thunderstorm, a dead car battery, and shorted-out phone. Soon I would forget all about it.
