From Your Heart: The Shilling Can is a story that opens in the Clerkenwell District, London, 1860. It chronicles 20-year-old, Penelope Berry, alias, Pennie, who lives in the poorest part of London. She attends the Field Lane Ragged School. Her desire is to become a schoolteacher. Industrious, Pennie studies, passes the exam, earning her certificate as Novice Teacher.

My adventure started one day as I considered writing a fiction story using Heaven as the main stage. You know - bright lights, angels, and wonderful people living in pleasant villages. That was the beginning of an adventure that would be 60 pages of scribbled wonder. So I could write about Heaven, I decided to ask God to allow me to visit there. Putting it mildly, going to Heaven would steal away my breath. Since the visit in 1991 my thinking and outlook on life changed me. I was already a Christian - but this was different.
