Having spent 13 years in China as a journalist specialising in the banking and financial sector, McMahon has spent his career reporting on China’s economy. He wrote his first book, China’s Great Wall of Debt, whilst a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC.
