I take very little exception to the plethora of advice columns, TV advice psychologists, and theoretical books on this topic. What I do take exception to are those who quote and promote the latest polls, studies, and psychological findings as the bible on child-rearing. For too many years, parents have followed some of these self-proclaimed gurus and, as a result, have robbed our children of the qualities of taking responsibility and the honor of honesty and hard work.

Bignorance: Bigotry born of ignorance and pride. Three people attack the same issue with three different approaches. There may be three different conclusions and results; or the outcome may be the same in all three cases. Who used the correct process? Was one of these three people more correct than the other two? The big question however, may be: Why did they react in different ways? or, Why did they not all react exactly alike? Better yet, you may ask, “What difference does it make"?
