I have recently had the dubious pleasure of going through menopause, and to an extent, I still am battling with some of the symptoms. It had a significant effect on me and my life, which got me thinking about those around me who were going through similar or were yet to go through it, how I can prepare them, and perhaps ease it for those who are already.

As Christian ladies, we often feel that our emotions and needs are not important, and this can lead to a lot of unnecessary pain and heartache. While the Bible does not have a specific commandment for loving ourselves, but it is inferred in Mark 12:31 where Jesus says, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”

This audiobook of poetry traces my journey from anger and depression to victories and joys following a life well lived through the good and the bad. Should the listener grow or heal from some of the words I have written then I will have fulfilled my mission in making this audiobook.
