L'opera ripercorre i giorni del rapimento dell'Ing. Giuseppe Taliercio, Direttore del Petrolchimico di Porto Marghera, puntando però l'attenzione più sull'uomo e sul cristiano (Taliercio era molto credente ed attivo nell'ambito della propria parrocchia e delle istituzioni ecclesiastiche) che, alla fine, con il suo atteggiamento coerente fino all'ultimo con la sua fede, finisce per convertire i suoi carnefici che pure, come sappiamo, portarono tragicamente a compimento il loro folle piano insurrezionale.
