When the history of horror comics was written, one name stood and still stands above the rest: EC Comics. With equal parts suspense, gore, camp, and revenge, the triumvirate of EC’s horror output laid the groundwork for what was to come from many of the genre’s greatest writers and directors. Now, AudioComics (a division of Pocket Universe Productions) presents EC’s The Vault of Horror, its stories adapted and presented in an audiorich fully immersive setting complete with a full cast, scoring, and soundscapes.

In this hilarious, fast-paced romantic suspense, the first post-Trump president is a sex addict who likes to hang in Vegas on the weekends and pick up women. He also has a tendency to misplace the nuclear "biscuit" of gold codes he’s meant to carry at all times. Which has obvious security issues, especially when it’s discovered a bad actor is about to infiltrate POTUS' inner circle. The CIA calls in Charley, a charismatic trans-man spy, to use his intuitive skills to vet everyone.

Transman spy Charley MacElroy travels to Paris to help French authorities break up a Neo-Nazi plot to scatter dirty bombs throughout the city. His older lover Electra comes along to study French, but she soon discovers Dickie Borque, a sinister British aristocrat with lavender hair, may be behind the plot. Charley, however, is not so sure.

Charley McElroy is a handsome, well-heeled travel writer and CIA informant, who also happens to be an F-to-M transman. And he's been recently benched by the Agency for not paying his taxes. On the other side of San Francisco, Electra, a Manhattan socialite-turned-dominatrix has just arrived to rebuild her life. Meanwhile, Frankie is a lesbian police sergeant on the outs with the SFPD and trying to recover from the death of her wife.
