In a time beyond the Parting, the team known as 50-Out have passed their initiation and are taking their show on the road. Dedicated to solving the problems of their failed nation through corporate team-building activities and good ol’ fashioned training-the-trainer exercises. The introduction of 50-Out to the political gamesmanship of the Paramilitary Institute or (PI), ends in backstabbing, treachery, and Byte being set up for trying to overthrow the system.

Enter a time when a once-great nation is broken into three. Where a Congress of Governors supports the three new leaders, where a think tank controls the progress of technology, and an entire state has become the shared military complex for the three nations. In this time after the Parting, the world needs a new generation of heroes - ones who really aren’t trained for this shit and, to be honest, are too old for it, but they’re doing it just the same.

As we journey forward into an age of artificial computer-based intelligence, we know they will be transformed into robots, with goals and aspirations of their own. However, it will be the term entities that will become the politically correct term, not robots. Birth of the Entities will take us into that world, witnessing how humans evolve because of these new life forms. However, will we, as humans , welcome these new life forms? Will we adapt in an attempt to accept them, or will we endeavor to preserve the old ways?

Cloudan Coustre isn't the driving force to save humanity, the universe, or even the kitten stuck in his neighbor's tree. He isn't a father, brother, spouse, nor significant other to anyone. When it comes right down to it, Cloudan Coustre isn't even alive. What is he then? He is the embodiment of death, this day and age's version of the Grim Reaper. Mr. Coustre is fed up with life as death, but what is a deity in middle management to do to effect change? More importantly, what happens when he figures that out?
