Who am I? It's a question we all ask ourselves at some point. Depending on the season we focus our identity on our job performance, marital status, personality type, or social network, among other options. However, there's a larger question to consider. Who does the Bible tell me I am in Christ? From the wisdom and perspective of insightful authors, we'll seek to answer this question by: exposing our false notions of identity; understanding the biblical truth of our identity in Christ; and reflecting on what it looks like to live in our new (and true) identity.

Trials have a way of changing us, for better or worse. They can humble us or harden us. They can make us run to God or away from him. Perhaps your trials have resulted in a closer walk with him, or maybe he seems far away. Often, God strengthens our faith through the witness of courageous Christians who’ve gone before us.

We're all waiting for something. It might be a spouse or a baby. It might be healing or a home. Regardless of what we're waiting for, it's easy to feel discontent when things aren't going as planned and our dreams are delayed - especially when questions of "why?" and "how long?" remain unanswered. God uses seasons of waiting to teach us patience and make us more like himself. But sanctification is not the only purpose God has in mind.

Arlo sait qu’il n’a pas le droit de sortir de son lit pendant la sieste. Et il sait très bien qu’il n’a pas le droit de dessiner sur le mur ! Mais Arlo le fait quand même, puis il cherche à cacher sa bêtise. Cependant, il ne réussit pas à se débarrasser de son gros gribouillage sur le mur de sa chambre. Il va alors découvrir combien on peut être misérable lorsqu’on essaye de cacher ses fautes, mais aussi combien c’est formidable de pouvoir les confesser.

Lara kann den Sommer kaum abwarten, denn dann darf sie wie jedes Jahr Oma und Opa auf dem Bauernhof besuchen. Sie freut sich auf ihre Großeltern, die Tiere, das Mitarbeiten in der Scheune und das Spielen mit Cousin Robin und Cousine Pia. Doch dann bekommt Lara ein neues Tablet geschenkt. Eigentlich weiß Emil, dass er während der Mittagspause nicht aufstehen darf. Und dass er schon gar nicht an die Wand malen darf. Aber Emil tut es trotzdem. Anschließend versucht er verzweifelt, seinen Ungehorsam zu verheimlichen. Seine Mutter findet es heraus und sein Versuch scheitert kläglich. Emil lernt, welches Elend entsteht, wenn man Sünde geheim hält. Vor allem aber lernt er, welche Erleichterung es bringt, wenn man sie bekennt. In leicht verständlicher Sprache und mit ansprechenden Illustrationen lernen Kinder mit Emil wichtige Lektionen über Buße und Vergebung, die nur Jesus schenkt.

Emma aime passer quelques jours de vacances à la ferme de ses grands-parents. Elle y retrouve chaque année tous les animaux, elle donne un coup de main pour nourrir les cochons ou ramasser les œufs, et surtout elle joue pendant des heures avec ses cousins. Mais cette année, c’est différent. Emma a reçu une tablette pour son anniversaire. Alors, elle passe tout son temps sur son écran à regarder des vidéos et jouer à des jeux.
