First it was a Bad Day for the Hangman, then there was Gunfight at Spanish Wells, and now there's Valley of the Gunman, and this his gunfighter is going to see many die, many live, and one legend born.

Jake Stone's old friend, Sheriff Harry Mills has lost a crooked election. In old west style, a bunch of outlaws and gunslingers have stuffed the ballot boxes. Not only did they take away his badge, but the outlaw who stole his office is about to take away something even more valuable: his life. They are about to put Harry's neck in a hangman's noose without the benefit of a judge, jury or even a visitor. It will be nothing short of a lynching.

Not long after robbing a gold train, the cabal of law-abiding individuals find a member of their group has loose lips. Not only does the talker suddenly vanish and then turn up dead, but some of the ones who are breathing down their necks meet their demise as well. The law will soon be on the trail of a wanted man.

Before the gunman approached, Hank turned to walk back up the incline as though to lead the hostage taker to his partner. Again, he passed Stone without missing a step. This not only led the varmint onward, but placed Hank out of the crossfire....
