What is Satya? Ep.17

  • Summary

  • In this series of yoga philosophy, we will spend some time talking about the yamas and niyamas. The yamas and niyamas originated from the very well known text “The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali.” There are 8 limbs to the yoga sutras, each describing a different aspect of the yoga practice, and by practicing from the first to the 8th, the practitioner's goal is to attain liberation.

Satya, the second yama in the eight limbs, is often translated as truthfulness. To put it in a simple way to understand, satya teaches us to be real and not to lie. In this episode, Sandra & HIDEMI share with you their thoughts on satya.
