Traveling for thousands of miles, in silence

By: Jonathan Bent
  • Summary

  • These episodes will cover long distance hiking and pilgrimages that I have done, and hope to do. Some of these stories involve history, religion, geology, biology, and a variety of interesting topics. My experiences have at times verged on the paranormal, and I hope that I can convey the beneficial effect that I have experienced on these travels.

Sometimes it is a relatively short distance that lends itself to the longest story. This is my story about a hike I did while walking the Annapurna circuit in Nepal in 2016. I hope to do a longer episode about that hike. This episode is about my hike to Hunter's Cave or Milarepa cave near Manang. I discuss why a short hike like this is a significant one to me, and I hope that my discussion provides the listener with a better insight into Tibetan and Nepali culture.
