• #129 - Teachers Hopes, Fears, And Concerns For The New School Year
    Aug 1 2022
For this episode I chose to keep my guest's identity and location somewhat vague on purpose so to protect her from anyone who might watch or listen to this episode who might have less than honorable intentions. Ms. Tiffany and I discuss what it's like to be a teacher and why she and others choose to become teachers despite all the challenges they face in this chosen profession. We talk about the concerns of school shootings woke teachers, low wages, no funding, and difficult students. If you didn't have an appreciation for teachers before I think you will when you reach the end of this episode. Enjoy!

Today though, Portia and I get a little more personal as we speak about why she didn't date men of her own race. Her reasons and insight are definitely worth a listen. • #126 - Is Abortion Still Needed? - with Carl Creasman
    Jul 5 2022

This is the third episode of a three-part series (now turned into a 4 part series) with my friend and Historian, Carl Creasman. We talk about the events that lead up to Roe v Wade and its impact on American society and the world. Of course, we talk about everything related to this topic to get the bigger picture. At the time we did this show SCOTUS still hadn't ruled. As we know now the conservative-led court overruled this 40-year-old precedence that was law, to set women's rights back decades.

  • #123 - Learning the Hard Way - With Christos Kalogiru
    May 30 2022

Christos understood at a very young age that he was the kind of person who was always going to learn the hard way, and to make life even more challenging he was also diagnosed with ADHD. As you can imagine Christos was like any boy rambunctious, full of energy and spunk. This of course caused problems from time to time which resulted in his expulsion from the private boarding school he attended. To this day he is the only student to be admitted to this prestigious school, expelled, and re-invited back to where he would graduate. Learning the hard way seems to have worked for him since he's turned his life around from those early days. He's the author of "Wild Dogs: An Adventure in Adolescence" It's his story of how he navigated through those most difficult years and came out on top. The book is dedicated to a classmate who passed away far too soon. All the proceeds go to helping match up bone marrow donors to the recipients. I applaud him for such a noble gesture. As always we had a lot of fun and I know you will too. Book: https://www.amazon.com/Wild-Dogs-Adolescence-Christos-Kalogirou/dp/1544521960
