  • 281. Biggest Test in Recent Memory, with Alex Malcolm and Ali Martin
    Dec 3 2024

Greats condemn cricketing pyramid ruin as Adelaide looms. That’s right, everything’s on the line ahead of the biggest Test in recent memory, as vultures circle, knives sharpen, and drafts brood for Cummins and co. Can they prove people wrong again, or does every team have an expiry? Does calm, sigma alphadom bounce back, or, as one source described the plight of Australia’s men, are they “like a billycart going downhill”? ESPNCricinfo’s Alex Malcolm joins to illuminate the feeling inside the group. Elsewhere, the Gades restore Big V pride in the WBBL, Zampa becomes the lightning rod for everything wrong in the national game, Ali Martin joins us from NZ after England went 1-0 up over there, SA destroys Sri Lanka, and AskTGC is about a guy who made a hundred before venturing to Bourbon St, New Orleans.

  • 280. Get Back to Grade Cricket, with Glenn Maxwell
    Nov 26 2024

India completely dominate Australia in Perth and the knives are very much being sharpened. The meltdown has begun and the calls are growing louder and louder for the ‘old Australia’ to return. Has Australia lost its edge? Should we be harder? It’s been suggested that our boys get back to grade cricket, even if it’s 2’s or 3’s!! Glenn Maxwell joins the show to discuss the rollercoaster of playing cricket for Australia in this era. The scrutiny, the pressures, the highs and the lows. We also discuss the IPL auction, Phillip Hughes and how to play Bumrah. That’s before we get into Sheffield Shield, WBBL, New Zealand v England and Pakistan losing to Zimbabwe. It’s a hell of a start to a summer… though it doesn’t actually start until the next Test.

The Highlight of being an Aussie Cricket fan atm

These fellas are very funny especially when Australia are doing bad. They are also a great way to keep up with the Cricketing world.

Must listen for cricket tragics

These guys are funny. Yep just like hanging with your mates at the pub. But wait, now they have quality international guests and turns out they're pretty great at interviewing. Love hearing the yarns and the behind the scenes, back stories from the players who are totally at ease. And unlike your mates, they're consistent, quality material (they must do a tonne of homework). All from two blokes who "didn't make it" but appear to be living the dream with fam following all over the cricketing world. Kudos Pez and Higgos.
