The Canes came back home and continued to play good hockey. Rantanen got his first goal as a Cane! Ryan Suzuki played his first NHL game. Aho and Hall missed the game due to illness. Freddy got a silver stick for 500 games played. It was a lot.

The Hurricanes extended their point streak to 6 with a 4-0 shutout in NY. Freddy made big saves and Svech had a 2 goal night to remember.

Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall were in the lineup for the first time, after a blockbuster trade yesterday sent Jack Drury and Martin Necas to Colorado.

The Canes got two first period goals in a fairly defensive game, but the Islanders would slowly crawl back to win in overtime.
