In addition to excelling at his craft, Sam focuses much of his time on teaching others. Teaching and mentoring are in his DNA as a Professor of Media & Propaganda at the City University of New York's Hunter College, a frequent speaker and writer on the topics of creativity and experience and as an mentor/advisor to others in the industry. He currently serves on the advisory boards of Bitten, a conference focusing on food culture and technology and Correlate, a cutting edge data analytics platform.

He serves on the Board of Advisors of a cutting edge cyber-security company, and SAS Capital Advisors, Ltd., an emerging hedge fund manager investment platform. Marc also serves on the Steering Committee of the Manhattan Yacht Club and is on the Board of Advisors of the New York Harbor Sailing Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.
