    J. Paul Slavens is an American composer and musician based in Denton, Texas. He plays piano and keyboards along with many other instruments, primarily in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton area but has toured nationally with several bands including Ten Hands, Baptist Generals, The Travoltas and others. In addition to regularly composing and playing live music, Paul produces a weekly radio show on KXT in Dallas. Ive known Paul since Ten Hands played every Monday night at The Prophet bar back in 1986.

    Deep Ellum success story Jim Heath a.k.a. Reverend Horton Heat is from Corpus Christi Texas, played in many bands including Teddy and the Tall Tops and the Polytones. While doing sound at the Theatre Gallery in 1984 during the inception of the modern Deep Ellum scene Jim was writing songs about divorce, played some for Russell Hobbs in the backyard of The Prophet bar, Russell pushed Jim on stage, named him Horton Heat and Monday night at The Prophet bar was the place to be. Reverend Horton Heat blew up started playing locally, regionally and has become internationally recognized as the modern day godfather of rockabilly. He has lived in Dallas for 63 years after growing up in Trumbull, Ct. Greg is an avid collector of such things as vintage musical instruments, baseball memorabilia, 50s & 60s recordings and all forms of art from around the world. He and Abby have only lowa left to complete their travels to every state. Pistachio's Private Club, Houston, Tx Amfac Hotel, DFW Airport - The Branding Iron Rest. & Club The Ambassador Hotel - Food & Beverage Director. Opportunity arose to work with a group of investors on a project to try to create the best nightclub in the world and following two years of construction the Stark Club was born eventually becoming a world class entertainment venue with Greg as GM. Greg is a former President of the Uptown Exchange Club and a present member of the Board of Directors of the Memories of Dallas websites.

    Turner Cavender was born in Dallas Texas and struggled with a hearing disability and always made the effort to become a normal kid in life and school. At 6 years old he got hearing aids and was assigned a speech therapist. Childhood was challenging but never slowed Turner down. Turner had tons of energy and found his passion in Motocross, a very demanding and individualized sport. Turner went on to have a successful Motocross career as a sponsored rider at the professional level. 2007 Turner retired from full time racing and entered Texas Tech University to pursue his passion of fitness and helping others feel amazing. Graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in nutrition. Turner then opened Fit Body Boot Camp his own gym. From 2013 - 2020 Turner worked with thousands of clients as a personal life coach helping people live a healthy lifestyle and transformed many lives. In 2020 Turner took his exit from the fitness industry and sold the gyms to pursue a new career in real Estate and produces his global podcast. Now happily married to Stephanie Cavender and living his life in their beautiful home on the lake in Forney Texas with his Golden retriever, the perfect little family.

    Frank Campagna has been a professional artist in the Dallas area since 1979. Campagna began his career in the music and nightclub industries, providing artwork for legendary, live music venues such as the Agora Ballroom, Starplex, Bronco Bowl, Verizon Theater, Gypsy Tea Room, and currently for House of Blues. He has also created on-demand works for acts such as the Rolling Stones, Guns & Roses, the Eagles, U-2, and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame, as well as festivals such as Lollapolooza, SXSW, and Edgefest, for which he gained national exposure on MTV in the early 1990s. Campagna has been instrumental in the revitalization of the historic Deep Ellum neighborhood from an abandoned warehouse district to it's present day reputation as a mecca of art and music, beginning with hosting musical acts in his visual art studio in 1982. In 1993, 1994, 1999, and 2000, he led over 150 artists in the Good Latimer tunnel mural project. In the early 2000s, Campagna played a key role in negotiating the replacement of the Good Latimer tunnel on behalf of the neighborhood with Dallas Area Rapid Transit to create a 'new gateway' to Deep Ellum, resulting in the Traveling Man project. In 2005, Campagna founded Kettle Art Gallery, offering North Texas creatives a venue that is 'inclusive as opposed to exclusive' which continually mentors and introduces 'new blood' into our city's culture. In addition to the gallery, Campagna currently serves as an advisor to Foundation45, a project he initiated in 2011 to provide mental health services to creatives, and in 2017 and 2018 as a muralist in the Dallas in Prizzi project in Sicily.
