That means feeling that physical needs such as food, water, and shelter are met. It also includes our emotional needs such as feeling safe and interconnected. The Root Chakra is the base of our life force energy, which links our external and internal world. The Muladhara / Root Chakra helps us feel connected to the Earth as well as helping us be grounded enough to feel secure in life.
