  • Do Not Use Love as a Come-Up: Lessons From The Bad Vegan
    Mar 25 2022
In this final episode of the season, I discuss my latest paintings and make an announcement. The show will go on hiatus for the foreseeable future. I am working on my portfolio as part of the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program. Since I also work a day job full time, something had to go. Unfortunately, I will pause the podcast here, and return once the program is over. Also in this episode, I discuss my take-aways from the popular Netflix documentary Bad Vegan. My goal is never to judge, but to learn from the mistakes of others. Her biggest mistake, in my opinion, was not believing in her own goddess nature. She was desperate for a toxic man to bestow that onto her. Instead, he turned her into an empty shell, and destroyed everything she had built up. LADIES! Please don't let this happen to you! • Performing Your Authentic Self - Race as Performance Art
    Mar 11 2022
How much of what we do is authentic, and how much is determined by the roles and scripts we were given at birth? In this episode, I recount the self-exploration I did as I completed two self-portraits this week. It got me thinking about our roles in society, and how they can push us to do what is expected rather than what is truly in our hearts to do. This is especially true when it comes to the big categories like race and gender. For questions and suggestions, please email me at Questions@RavenKushner.com.
