Sheldon Keefe and Brett Pesce discussed the game plan and strategy heading into the Carolina Hurricanes matchup. In the last 10 meetings the Devils are 2-7-1 against the Canes.

The New Jersey Devils are back to practicing after a couple of days off. They also called up a few players from the Utica Comets including Nolan Foote. Sheldon Keefe was asked what is the team's identity after 21 games. I decided to incorporate my answer as well. Jim Montgomery was recently fired by the Boston Bruins. Honestly, I think the NHL has a head coaching problem.

The New Jersey Devils weren't able to pickup a third straight win while in Florida. They got shutout 4-0 by Andrei Vasilevskiy and the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is the third time that the Devils have been shutout this season. While the loss is disappointing, there might be a simple solution: more rest and practice time. The Devils' next game isn't until Thursday. These next few days might do wonders for them.
