  • Hello Lovebirds! Welcome to LOVE AND OTHER DISABILITIES - the podcast for disabled folks and their loved ones.

My name is Claudia Forsberg. I'm a Ballarat based journalist and hopeless romantic.

I am physically disabled and rely on a wheelchair but I too LOVE... LOVE!

I want to take this opportunity to share some insights as a disabled person about all the different people and ways we love.

I'm here to debunk myths, break down barriers and build confidence so that you too can love love!

I want to show how people with disabilities can - and do - have meaningful relationships, while also highlighting some of the trials and tribulations that go along with it.

Join me every Friday for LOVE AND OTHER DISABILITIES wherever you get your podcasts.

Hello lovebirds, and welcome to LOVE AND OTHER DISABILITIES; the podcast for disabled folks and their loved ones.

I am your host, Claudia Forsberg. Ballarat based journalist and hopeless romantic.

To recap, the first two episodes so far, have been dedicated to two types of heartbreak - friendship and romantic. In hindsight, this may seem unintentionally pessimistic of me, but I promise you there are some positive messages hidden in there. Hello lovebirds, and welcome to LOVE AND OTHER DISABILITIES; the podcast for disabled folks and their loved ones.

I am your host, Claudia Forsberg. Ballarat-based journalist and hopeless romantic.

Happy Friday everyone and for those of you who got to celebrate Valentine's Day last week with that special someone, I hope you had a lovely time.

And if you didn't have a Valentine this year, like me, I hope you got to treat yourself to some self-love. Maybe put on a face mask, chuck on your fave rom-com and devoured half a tub or more of ice cream.

Now speaking of not having a valentine this year, today I'm going to be talking about my most recent heartbreak - well actually it was my first heartbreak - which I experienced middle of last year. More specifically I'm going to outline the five most important lessons I learned from this experience, in hopes that this will help you or someone you care about who is also going through their own heartbreak.

So let's jump right in… (click here to view full transcript)

I'm so excited to be finally sitting down and recording this for you. I've had the idea for this podcast for over a year now. But of course, life happened. Between my day job, juggling health and even my first relationship, last year was a lot. Now things have calmed down a little and we were entering a new year, I finally thought, you know what? It's time. No excuses, I'm diving right in.

The first topic I want to cover is of course very close to my heart. Perhaps you, dear listener can relate as well, especially during a time of big changes and new beginnings. I'm talking about what I like to call the seasons of friendships... (click here to view full transcript)
